Flakeb00k was birthed and aborted out of Brooklyn, NY in the dystopian year of 2012 as a consequence to the depreciation, over-commercialization and demoralization of human society. Born of despair and witnessing the decay of my own physical, mental and spiritual health, my twisted sense of humor spiraled into manic, obsessive frenzy of developing and creating offensive memes and parody logos from the most recognizable brand names to not only reveal a satirical, comical and subliminal hidden message behind each logo, but to also subconsciously awaken the viewer from their government sponsored mind-programming. The collection grew and morphed into a collage of distorted faces and random objects meshed together in an entropic sequence, thus creating a virtual plane for all personalities to digitally mingle, collaborate and co-exist, without prejudice. Several years and 1000’s of layers later, the collage has grown into a massive library of images; an archive of memories existing in an alternative time/space dimension. Our proprietary algorithm will soon be able to populate images triggered by text command, keyword phrasing and sound-bytes with the ability to transform, move and modify the mediums using sensor technologies.
The future of our art culture seems uncertain while it’s currently dominated and controlled by a privileged elite minority who have monopolized and hypnotized the art & music industry by pumping and dumping meaningless, spiritually void, substance-less eye candy. We therefore play an important role in creating micro-economies and micro-communities to pave a new road for future generations of artists, musicians & creative thinkers. Our existence is crucial to help spread awareness about censorship, shadow-banning, and protecting the 1st Amendment.
